And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. (1 Timothy 6:3-4)

We are every-day ordinary people desiring to be faithful Christians. We seek simply to study and practice the only word of God, the Bible. We are not bound by denominational ties, traditions, doctrines, or organizations. We are not a denomination. We have no creeds or confessions of faith; the Bible alone is our source of faith (Romans 10:17) and authority in matters of faith and worship. We desire to practice simple New Testament Christianity. We desire to be the church that Christ built (Matthew 16:18)--the churches of Christ (Romans 16:16). We "speak where the Bible speaks....and are silent where the Bible is silent, with love in all things". |
